Distribution of head lamp beam in India

Car and bike drivers in India have this crazy habit of using a different beam for their head lamp. They don’t care whether the person driving in opposite direction is blinded by the beam or doesn’t see the oncoming traffic. This is just my observation of the percentage of people who use high beam, low beam and no beam at all in regular roads and streets (not highways).

In highways it is totally different. In India, you can see huge trucks carrying heavy load with no tail lamp. I didn’t draw a pie chart for it, as it would be a huge big red circle.

    I think, the yellow part will be much more than what you expect. Reminds me of a tamil comedy by Koundamaani.

    And yesterday while waiting for my bus, I saw a truck which had the headlights angled at almost about 30 degrees up. I wonder how the driver could see and drive.
